Biscuit Belly

Meet the client that inevitably makes me hungry every time I work on a project with them. A Kentucky born business new to the brunch scene, Biscuit Belly was looking to update their online presence to reflect their bold branding and show off their Southern charm.

Biscuit Belly

Damn good biscuits call for damn good copy

A young brand with little existing collateral to reference, I had to roll with my own interpretation of the brand, educated by conversations with the Biscuit Belly founders and design guidelines. I was able to articulate the owners’ vision for the brand, helping our team earn project after project request. My only regret? That I don’t live closer to a Biscuit Belly.

First and foremost, my goal was to capture the Southern-inspired spirit of Biscuit Belly, differentiating this trendy brunch spot in a saturated marketplace. Authentic to their roots without crossing into kitschy territory, Biscuit Belly called for a warm tone and friendly language delivered with a bit of Southern spice.

Biscuit Belly Franchise

Selling biscuits is serious business

Biscuit Belly was ready to expand by rolling out their franchise model. With chef-driven creations, bold branding, and Instagram-ready restaurants, Biscuit Belly had all the right ingredients to become a national favorite, they just needed to let multi-unit operators know there’s a new brunch franchise on the block.

Biscuit Belly got a full suite of digital and traditional marketing to attract leads and drive them through the sales funnel. Beginning with their website, this was my first opportunity to take a deep dive into the brand, weaving their playful personality into information that makes an experienced restaurateur say, “Yep, I need to own this.”
